Recall Alert: Ford F-150 Wiper Motors

2021 Ford F-150Ford is recalling about 157,000 F-150 pickups from model year 2021 because their windshield wipers may stop working. The culprit is a faulty wiper motor that can burn out after just a few months of ownership.

The recall doesn’t apply to every 2021 F-150. The truck is America’s best-selling vehicle, and as such, it’s built at two different factories. Ford says that each factory received a batch of defective wiper motors on different dates during the 2021 production run. So only trucks built on certain dates at each factory are included.

Ford dealers will replace the wiper motor to correct the problem.
