Ford Motor Company is recalling 316 vehicles due to a failure of the backup alarm connector. The following vehicles are affected:
- 2026-2027 Ford E-350
- 2026-2027 Ford E-450
In a report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford said the backup alarm connector could come loose or disconnect, causing the alarm to fail. If that happens, pedestrians or other road users may not be warned that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Ford is not aware of any claims, accidents, or injuries related to this recall.
According to Ford, dealers will replace the exterior sound connector on the wiring harness.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified beginning March 9, 2026.
Automakers do their best to notify vehicle owners affected by a recall, but they may not reach everyone. To find out if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls, check the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
