Cadillac has issued a recall for 6,746 SUVs because the vehicles’ instrument panels may not tell drivers when high beams, turn signals, or hazard lights are on.
Recalled models include the:
- 2023-2025 Cadillac XT5
- 2024-2025 Cadillac XT6
The company tells federal safety officials that a software error can cause the section of the driver’s instrument panel that shows light indicators to “turn off unexpectedly.” Without the reminders, drivers may not know they’re shining high beams into oncoming traffic or signaling a turn.
Dealers will fix the problem with a software update.
