Audi is recalling 1,620 vehicles due to a potential malfunction in the lane departure warning system. The following vehicles are affected:
The company told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that “Due to a software error, the lane departure warning system may be deactivated.”
According to Audi parent Volkswagen Group, under a prior recall, the software remedy for a small number of vehicles repaired “incorrectly contained coding that inadvertently removed the virtual button and icon for the lane departure warning system.”
Audi dealers will perform a software update to reactivate the virtual button and icon for the system.
Owners will be notified beginning May 1, 2026.
While automakers do their best to notify every vehicle owner affected by a recall, they may not reach everyone. Discover whether your vehicle has any outstanding recalls by checking the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
