Recall Alert: 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has only been on dealer lots briefly, but it has its first recall. Hyundai is asking owners of 18,206 new Santa Fe SUVs to bring them back to the dealership because of a problem that can leave their backup cameras unusable.

Hyundai tells federal safety officials that a trailer parking assist message can appear when drivers shift into reverse, covering the rearview camera image.

Dealers will fix the problem with a software update. But these vehicles don’t receive over-the-air updates, so owners must bring them to the dealership to receive the patch. Software updates are typically quick service appointments.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.
