Recall Alert: 2024 GMC Sierra EV

GMC has issued a recall for 1,962 Sierra electric vehicles (EVs) from the 2024 model year because their turn signals may not be sufficiently visible.

The company tells federal safety regulators that a supplier failed to verify that turn signals were bright enough to comply with federal safety laws. “If there is not a sufficiently discernible difference between the front turn signal lamp and the parking lamp, other road users may not be aware of the driver’s intentions,” the company says.

Dealers will replace the entire headlamp module with a new one, properly tested, to fix the problem.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Manufacturers routinely recall cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. Automakers try to reach every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair, but they rarely get them all. Millions of cars on American roads need free recall repairs. Check the easy VIN tool at our recall center to determine if your car is one of them.
