Recall Alert: 2022-2023 Range Rover Taillights Failing

2022 Range RoverJLR (formerly Jaguar Land Rover) has issued a recall for about 13,000 Range Rover SUVs from model years 2022 and 2023 because their taillights can fail to illuminate.

In documents filed with federal safety regulators, JLR explains that a foam insulation block can interfere with the wiring for the taillights. In darkness, that could make the cars harder to see and contribute to an accident.

JLR says, “There have been no reported accidents or injuries as a result of this concern.” But the company knows of at least eight field reports of Range Rovers with non-functioning taillights.

Dealers will fix the problem by removing the foam block and inspecting the wiring. They’ll replace the taillight itself if they find any sign of wiring damage.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.
