Ford is recalling 1,666 2021 Bronco Sport SUVs that may have loose or missing bolts in the rear suspension.
Owners might well be aware of a problem if the bolts are missing entirely, while loose bolts could go undetected. The issue may compromise the vehicle’s safety in a collision.
Ford says that an internal investigation revealed the problem, but the automaker is unaware of any accident or injuries related to the issue. Relatively few Bronco Sports are subject to the recall which extends to vehicles built in Hermosillo, Mexico, between July and November of 2020.
