Kia has issued a recall for about 84,000 Sorento SUVs from model year 2019 because their rearview cameras can fail.
Kia tells National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a supplier error left some cameras “susceptible to water intrusion.” Moisture can shut down the camera.
Dealers will inspect the cameras. If a camera works properly, they will apply new waterproofing to the wiring harness to prevent future problems. If it isn’t working, they’ll replace it.
