A performance-oriented package is on tap for buyers of 2022 Ram 1500 pickup trucks as the brand adds a G/T option on two trims. These upgrades come directly from the factory and are available on the 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel G/T and Laramie G/T models.

V8 Crew Cab Models
The G/T package is available on crew cab versions of the Ram Laramie and Rebel 1500 half-ton pickups. These models come with a 395-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 with the eTorque mild hybrid assist. These models are distinguished by a sport performance hood and G/T decals. Other performance upgrades include a factory-installed cold-air intake and cold-end exhaust, components taken directly from the Mopar Performance catalog.
Other features not usually found on Ram models other than the TRX include paddle shifters for the 8-speed automatic. The G/T also features a performance shifter, metal pedals, and sport bucket seats with additional bolstering. Of note is a performance app with timers, g-force readouts, gauges, and other engine performance data. This information can be loaded onto a USB stick for sharing.
Pricing and Availability
The 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T starts at $55,480, while the Rebel G/T costs $55,375. Delivery is $1,695 extra. The new models go on sale in the third quarter of 2021.
