Ram Introduces Limited Mopar ’21 Edition

The 2021 Ram 1500 is available in nine trim levels (ten if you live in Texas), so there’s no shortage of ways to customize the truck. But Stellantis (the new name of Ram’s parent company) is still coming up with ways to give Ram owners something exclusive. The latest is the Mopar ’21 Edition, a run of 250 trucks (210 destined for the U.S., 40 for Canada). The package costs $8,500 on top of the price of the Lone Star or Big Horn Ram.

The limited-edition uses either a Ram Big Horn or Ram Lone Star (available only in Texas) as its base. Power comes from a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It’s available only in 4-wheel drive, with a crew cab and 5-foot, 7-inch bed. The special edition wears Billet Silver, Bright White, Flame Red, or Hydro Blue paint schemes.

The exclusive equipment for the Mopar ’21 is mostly cosmetic. Design cues include black exterior decals and gloss-black grille surround, black exhaust tips and running boards, and cloth seats in Light Diesel Gray. The package also sports an embroidered Mopar logo on the seatbacks and Molle bags on the seatbacks. A body-color tonneau cover and spray-in bedliner are included as well.

To show its exclusivity, the truck will come with a custom build number badge on the instrument cluster. Owners will also be given “an exclusive owner kit packaged in a custom box.” These goodies include a custom-made, personalized, numbered metal certificate of authenticity, and “a special rendering of the truck by the Mopar Design team.”
