Polestar has recalled 68 units of its new Polestar 3 SUV from model year 2025 because their bumpers can detach and become a road hazard.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a specific set of cars “may be missing six bolts (out of 10) from the Hood Wing bumper preassembly.”
Polestar will fix the problem by inspecting the cars and, if there are any missing bolts, replace the bumper and install the missing screws.
Recall repairs are always free.
Automakers recall many cars every year, sometimes more than once. They try to reach every owner to warn them. However, some fall through the system’s cracks and unknowingly drive recalled cars. Check our easy recall tool to determine if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls.
