Polestar has recalled 213 Polestar 3 SUVs from model year 2025 over a loose nut that may cause the rear back seats to release. In production, these affected vehicles only had one of two nuts properly tightened that secure the striker bracket.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that in affected vehicles, “there is a risk that cargo in the luggage compartment may shift and could cause the rear seat backrest to release.” In a crash, unsecured cargo could enter the main cabin.
Polestar dealers will remedy this issue by correctly mounting the rear seat striker bracket. They will ensure that both nuts are properly tightened.
This service is free of charge, as recall repairs always are.
Owners with affected vehicles will be notified beginning March 22, 2026.
