Toyota will be joining the trend of offering more blacked out trim options on its vehicles as it expands its Nightshade Special Edition from the 4Runner SUV to the 2019 Toyota Camry and Highlander. Going on sale next year, the appearance package features black wheels and other exterior trim items.
2019 Toyota Camry Nightshade
Toyota’s midsize sedan adopts the Nightshade treatment on SE trim level models and features black 18-inch wheels, window molding, mirror caps and door handles. Black is also used on the decklid spoiler badging and shark fin antenna. The special edition is offered in only three color choices, Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver and Super White. Pricing for the package has yet to be announced, but will be available in 2019, according to Toyota.
2019 Toyota Highlander Nightshade
Also fitted to the SE trim level of the 2019 Highlander, the Nightshade package here also uses gloss black on the rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, door handles, mirror caps, black 19-inch wheels, black headlight and fog lamps bezels and black badging.
Only 5,000 units will be offered and will be available in Midnight Black Metallic, Predawn Gray Mica, Salsa Red Pearl and Blizzard pearl. Pricing has yet to be announced.
