I drove the 2025 Genesis G80 Sedan from my home in Michigan to Big Indian, New York, last month. I found a lot to like in this luxury sedan, but my favorite feature was the 20-inch Sport Alloy wheels.
Three times during my 2,000-mile trip, complete strangers approached me to ask about the Sport Alloy wheels. They wanted to know if they were the stock wheels that came with the car, or if they were special wheels I had added. Were they custom wheels? Did I design them myself?
The Sport Alloy wheels are the stock wheels for the 2025 G80. They are a 5-spoke propeller-style design wearing a satin aluminum finish. What makes them so striking is that each spoke is dimpled with squares in a grid wave pattern. I don’t know if this dimpling has any aerodynamic effect. All I do know is that it’s cool-looking and attracted a lot of attention. The 20-inch wheels fill the wheel arches perfectly without looking oversized on the midsize luxury sedan.
Wheels alone would not necessarily tilt me toward a buying decision on a new car. Still, the Sport Alloy wheels on the 2025 Genesis G80 Sedan are so striking that they definitely wind up in the plus column when I’m tallying reasons to select the G80.
