File this news under unsurprising. But we can finally confirm what’s been obvious for months. The last Mini Clubman is already on sale.
We got the hint in spring when Mini released a special model called the 2024 Mini Clubman Final Edition. But, at the time, the company wouldn’t confirm that the quirky wagon with the split rear door was ending its production run.
Mini boss Stefanie Wurst told the U.K.’s Top Gear the brand has no plans for another edition.
“We will not have a Clubman,” Wurst said. She also hinted strongly that the electric Aceman concept will become a production car.
“The Aceman is a smaller concept, but I think the five-door space (if not the six-door) is filled well by the Countryman and the Aceman. If you look at the sales numbers worldwide, the Countryman doubles the Clubman,” Wurst said.
Mini has promised to sell nothing but electric cars by 2030. The company recently revealed new, all-electric versions of its signature Cooper and larger Countryman, set to reach the U.S. for the 2025 model year.
But if you want a Mini station wagon with an internal combustion engine and a hatch that opens like a set of French doors, you still have time. The brand hasn’t made an official announcement on when sales will end. Mini USA’s website still lets you configure a 2024 Clubman, with prices starting at $34,050.
