Mercedes Recalls Sprinter Vans Over Emergency Braking

Mercedes-Benz recalled 16 Sprinter 2500 vans from model year 2025 because their automatic emergency braking systems may not function.

The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a printed circuit board in the front short-range radar system may have a defect. It could prevent the radar from working, the car might not brake to avoid an accident.

Dealers will fix the problem by replacing the radar sensor.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Manufacturers recall many cars, often more than once, during their lifespan. Automakers try to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all. Discover if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls with the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
