Mercedes Recalls G-Class Over Emergency Braking Problem

Mercedes-Benz has recalled just 12 units of its G-Class SUV from model year 2025 because their automatic emergency braking system may fail.

The problem is identical to one cited in a recall of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans last week. The company tells federal safety officials that a printed circuit board in a front radar sensor may be defective. That can prevent the radar from working.

Dealers will replace the entire sensor to fix the problem.

By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Manufacturers recall many cars, often more than once, during their lifespan. Automakers try to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all. Discover if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls with the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
