Mercedes-Benz has recalled 3,749 GLC SUVs from model years 2023-2026 and EQE electric sedans from model years 2023-2025 because a steering connection can come loose, compromising vehicle control.

The company tells federal safety regulators that “the bolt that secures the steering coupling might not be torqued to production specifications.” If the bolt comes loose, the driver could lose steering control of the vehicle.

Dealers will “rework the bolt connection” to fix the problem.
