Mazda has recalled just two units of its CX-50 SUV from model year 2025 because a software problem can prevent their airbags from deploying when needed.
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a supplier change left some cars with airbag sensors incompatible with the software that controls them.
Engineers discovered the problem in a factory inspection. Mazda is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to it.
Dealers will update software to fix the issue.
