Lucid Recalls Air Over Loss of Power

Lucid recalled 225 Air sedans from model years 2024-2026 because they can lose all motive power. All of the recalled models are the rear-wheel drive (RWD) Pure trim level.

The company tells federal safety regulators that factory workers may have failed to properly secure some bolts, which could lead the drive shaft to slip out of position. That can lead to “an unwarned loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.”

Lucid will replace the bolts to fix the problem. Dealers never charge for recall repairs.
