Lincoln Recalls Aviator SUVs for Shedding Trim

Lincoln has recalled 132,914 Aviator SUVs from model years 2020-2025 because some exterior trim pieces can detach and become a road hazard.

The company tells federal safety officials that factory workers may not have adequately adhered trim pieces between the side windows and on the pillar behind the rear door. They can loosen over time and, eventually, fall off into traffic.

Dealers will reattach them, or replace them if needed, to fix the problem. By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.

Millions of people miss recall notices every year and unknowingly drive recalled vehicles. Our recall center has an easy VIN tool to help you find out if your car needs any free safety repairs.
