- Lamborghini announced an available 10-year warranty on its products
There’s a long-established pattern in the car world, and Lamborghini has just reversed it.
New features tend to appear first on high-priced cars, then work their way down to more mainstream cars as economies of scale make them affordable.
Heated seats, for example, were once the exclusive product of luxury cars. Today, they’re available on some trim levels of the sub-$25,000 Hyundai Venue.
Lamborghini, however, has flipped the script. The exotic automaker’s least expensive 2025 vehicle, the Urus SUV, costs more than a quarter of a million dollars, but it has stolen a trick from mainstream brands Hyundai and Kia — their famous 10-year powertrain warranty.

Lamborghini explains, “Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their cars.” To that end, the company now includes five years of scheduled maintenance in the purchase price of most cars. It will also offer “official protection for up to 10 years from the car’s first registration” for an added fee.
Mainstream automakers like Kia, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi include a 10-year powertrain warranty in the purchase price of their cars without an added fee. But the warranty is arguably more important on an exotic car.
High-performance machines like the ones Lamborghini builds are more complex than commuter cars, and hence, more prone to maintenance problems.
