Kia Recalls EV9 Over Missing Seat Bolts

2025 Kia EV9

Kia has issued a recall for 22,883 EV9 SUVs from model years 2024 and 2025 because their second- and third-row seats may be missing some bolts. “Seats with missing seat mounting bolts may not properly restrain an occupant during certain collisions,” the company explains.

The problem affects only cars built on certain dates. Kia reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that owners of affected cars might notice loose-feeling seats or hear a rattling noise.

Dealers will fix the problem by installing the missing bolts and ensuring all bolts are properly tightened. Recall repairs are always free.

Carmakers try to notify the owners of recalled vehicles, but those efforts aren’t always 100% effective. To check if your car has any outstanding recalls, try our easy VIN check tool in our recall center.
