Kia Motors set a milestone at its Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia facility when the 2-millionth vehicle built in America rolled off the assembly line at the KMMG facility in West Point. The honor went to a 2016 Sorento SXL, which is produced there along with the Kia Optima. Opened in the fall of 2009 and covering 2,200 acres, Kia’s $1.1-billion West Point operation was named one of the country’s top-five vehicle assembly plants in the most recent J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey.
