Amid the dazzling lights and cacophony of sounds at the International CES in Las Vegas, Kia made its own splash with the North American debut of its KND-7 concept car.
Like the tech-laden products at this mammoth trade show, Kia’s diminutive 4-door coupe grabbed its own share of the spotlight, with its exhibit acting as an impromptu spot for photo ops. Painted luminescent yellow and fitted with a pair of rearward-opening rear doors, the KND-7 was hard to miss.

Those wide-opening doors lead to a roomy 4-passenger interior decked out with deeply sculpted seats. Its own impressive tech wizardry comes in the form of Kia’s UVO information, entertainment and communications system with built-in social-media functionality.
Under the hood is a small yet potent 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 201 horsepower.
As for whether Kia’s cute concept will become a real-world production model, a spokesman would only say that for now it’s "a future look at what a city car from Kia could be."
