Kia’s stylish EV6 electric vehicle (EV) won the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year award in January. The Korean brand is so proud of the achievement that it has decided to mark the occasion with a special edition of the SUV.
It has perhaps the longest name of any special edition car in recent years. Kia will build just 1,000 examples of the EV6 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year Limited Edition. The company hasn’t revealed pricing. The 2023 EV6 starts at $52,600, but the equipment found on the celebratory model should put its price tag at least into the mid-$50,000-range.
They come in a unique color scheme – a Deep Forest Green exterior surrounding a Desert Beige cabin. A medallion showing the logo of the North American Car of the Year awards appears next to the gear shifter. It rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and gets a sunroof, head-up display, and surround-view monitor.
Mechanically, the NAUVOY edition gets a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a pair of electric motors producing 320 total horsepower with an all-wheel-drive setup. Kia says the combination is good for up to 252 miles between charging sessions.
