  • Jeep plans to drop 12 special edition Wranglers over the next year, one per month
  • The first of the bunch offers a V8 engine for about $20,000 less than any current V8-powered Wrangler

Jeep this week released the first of 12 planned special editions. A new model will roll out on the 12th of each month for a year.

For the first of the group, the headline is horsepower-per-dollar. The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 will carry a 470-horsepower Hemi V8 and a starting price of $81,990.

The only V8-powered Wrangler available before it gets here, the Wrangler Rubicon 392, starts at $102,585.

Beyond the whopping discount, the Wrangler Moab 392 also offers 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, 35-inch all-terrain tires, a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case, and a cold-air intake hood.

On the outside, it comes with a body-color hardtop, molded-in-color fender flares, and rock protection rails. Photos released to the press show it in a lustrous purple. Jeep hasn’t said what other color options may be offered.

Inside, buyers get heated black Nappa leather seats and Alpine audio.

It’s an impressive package for the price, and, so far, the only way to get the Hemi in a Wrangler in 2026. But with a new model coming every month, that may not be true for long.
