A storied name will come back to the automotive landscape soon. Jeep confirmed today that an all-new Jeep Cherokee will “arrive in late 2025.”

The company canceled the last generation of its compact Cherokee SUV after the 2023 model year, leaving the nameplate out of production for the first time in nearly 50 years.

Jeep sent photos to the media showing a design heavily influenced by the current Grand Cherokee, with a black floating roof, a wide interpretation of the classic 7-slot grille, and comparatively large wheels for a compact model.

It will return as a 2026 model. Industry rumors say to expect the first hybrid-only Jeep.

We’ll bring more information closer to the model’s reveal date.
