Much of America is locked inside by what the National Weather Service calls a “once in a generation” holiday snowstorm. But the good folks at Jeep have sand and sun on their minds.
The Jeep Wrangler High Tide and Jeep Beach editions are back for 2023.
Both use the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited Sport S as their base, with a 285-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The High Tide is the less expensive of the pair. Prices start at $51,540, plus a $1,795 destination fee.
The High Tide comes with 35-inch tires on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and a 1.5-inch suspension lift to accommodate them. The big tires require a big spare tire, so Jeep has re-engineered the hinged gate to fit. A limited-slip differential and 4.56 rear axle ratio help on the sand.
A bit surprising for a sun-and-sand model is that it gets a body-color Sunrider hardtop with a flip-up panel. High Tide graphics and rock rails set it apart visually.
Jeep will build as many High Tide editions as it can sell, but the Jeep Beach model gets a limited run of just 500 examples. It adds unique logos on the hood and spare tire mount and embroiders them into the leather seats. Body-color fender flares dress it up. A 20th-anniversary shifter medallion marks two decades of Jeep Beach models.
The 2023 Wrangler Jeep Beach edition gets a sticker price of $54,040 plus the same $1,795 destination fee.
