Jeep Releases Gladiator Texas Trail Edition

When you think of Texas, you probably think of trucks. Automakers certainly think you do. Whether it’s the Chevy Silverado Texas Edition, the famous Ford F-150 King Ranch model, or even the Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition, most companies that can build you a truck can build you a Texas-themed model.

Jeep is not about to get left behind.

Enter: The Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail Edition.

Based on a Gladiator Sport S, it adds 32-inch mud-terrain tires, a trailer tow group, and side steps. The Texas Trail Edition starts at $40,435 (plus a $1,495 destination charge). Inside, it carries a 7-inch infotainment screen and the equipment of the Convenience and Technology Groups.

It’s visually distinguished by a black hardtop, Texas Trail graphics cut into the black leather seats, Texas Trail hood stickers, and a tailgate decal reading 1836 (the year of the Texas Declaration of Independence).

Adding the same equipment to the Sport S would run nearly $2,000 more, so the Texas Trail edition is a good value regardless of where you live. But you can’t get it everywhere — the edition is available only in the Lone Star State.

How about that the state with the most off-road trails certified by Jeep’s Badge of Honor trail program is Utah? There are many state marketing opportunities here…
