Jeep has recalled 1,689 Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L SUVs from model year 2023 because their defrosters can fail.
The company tells federal safety officials that the SUVs “may have been built with an HVAC blower motor that has a damaged connector, resulting in an electrical connection susceptible to failure.”
Dealers will fix the issue by inspecting the blower motor and replacing it if necessary.
Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. While automakers try to reach every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair, they rarely reach them all. Millions of vehicles on American roads need free recall repairs. Check the easy VIN tool at our recall center to find out if your car is one of them.
