Jeep has cut prices on its Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer full-size SUVs by as much as $7,000, depending on trim level, for the 2025 model year. It’s the latest in a promised round of price cuts – a promise Jeep seems to be keeping.
The Wagoneer has a new starting price of $61,945 (including a non-negotiable $2,000 destination charge). That’s $3,000 less than the near-identical 2024 model.
The more luxurious Grand Wagoneer starts at $86,945 (including the same fee), down $7,000 from the model currently on dealer lots.
Jeep says 2025 models will reach dealers “before the end of the calendar year.”
A Promise to Cut Prices
Jeep, owned by troubled auto giant Stellantis, moved decidedly upscale in recent years. Many automakers targeted higher-income buyers during the COVID-19 lockdown and in the years that followed it.
With interest rates at historic highs, automakers concluded that high-income, strong-credit Americans were the only Americans likely to car shop. They tailored their products in response, cutting inexpensive cars from their lineups and adding pricier models in their place.
Nowhere was this trend more evident than at Jeep. Jeep, a brand that built its name on stripped-down off-roaders, introduced high-luxury models like the Grand Wagoneer, priced more like Mercedes products than Fords and Chevrolets.
How did shoppers respond? Jeep suffered five consecutive years of declining sales.
New CEO Antonio Filosa promised to bring prices down in response. He seems to be serious.
Last month, Jeep knocked thousands off the sticker price of its best-selling Grand Cherokee. Today, it has done the same with the Wagoneer brothers.
2025 Jeep Wagoneer
Our reviewers praise the Wagoneer for its roomy size and customizability – you can get it in regular or long-wheelbase versions, in rear- or 4-wheel drive (RWD or 4WD).
Jeep keeps changes minimal for 2025. The 2024 Wagoneer gets new 20-inch aluminum wheels, standard lane-centering software, and adaptive cruise control.
2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Grand Wagoneer may seem an odd fit, competing with BMWs and Mercedes products with a Jeep badge. But our experts think it does a compelling job, with a lavish interior and a turbocharged inline-6-cylinder engine that balances power with reasonable fuel economy for a big vehicle likely to do some towing.
The 2025 Grand Wagoneer will be largely similar to the 2024 version but with new 22-inch aluminum wheels, a standard front passenger screen, and new Drowsy Driver Detection and Intersection Collision Assist.
