Jaguar E-Pace Recalled Over Airbag Tears

Jaguar has recalled 657 E-Pace SUVs from model years 2021-2024 because their passenger’s side airbags may tear as they deploy.

A torn airbag may not cushion passengers safely in an accident. It can also allow the hot gases that fill an airbag to escape, burning occupants.

Jaguar tells federal safety regulators that the bags were improperly folded at a supplier. The company discovered the issue during safety testing and is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem.

Dealers will replace the passenger airbag module to fix it. Recall repairs are always free.

Automakers recall many cars every year, sometimes more than once. They try to reach every owner to warn them. However, some may fall through the system’s cracks and are left unknowingly driving recalled cars. Check our easy recall tool to determine if your car has any outstanding recalls.
