Adding a bit more visual flash as well as a new high-tech premium sound system, the modestly refreshed 2017 Infiniti Q50 made its global debut in Paris. The tweaks to this compact luxury sedan were made to give buyers more personalization potential and enhance its appeal to those who might be considering key rivals like the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac ATS or Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Exterior changes to the 2017 Q50 include the introduction of three new colors: Midnight Black, Pure White, and Dynamic Sunstone Red, a premium finish that Infiniti says has a deeper, more lustrous finish than conventional paints. The hot Q50 Red Sport 400 variants also gain standard red-painted brake calipers. For the new year, the car’s already plush cabin can be upgraded with a new Designer Pack that brings quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery in new Graphite or Java Brown, plus a new open-pore dark wood veneer, dark chrome trim and a black headliner.

Arguably the biggest upgrade on offer for 2017 is a new Bose Performance Series sound system. Currently exclusive to the Q60 Coupe, this ultra-spec 16-speaker system features a distinctive industrial design theme and produces a fully-immersive listening experience. The 2017 Infiniti Q50 lineup arrives in U.S. showrooms later this fall and pricing will be announced closer to the actual on-sale date.
