Infiniti will show a styling exercise on a new flagship sedan, the Q Inspiration, during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Set to be shown on Jan. 15, the new full-size 4-door will not only preview a new design language for Nissan’s upscale division, it also promises to show how future powertrains can be packaged to make the most of interior space.
“As a new wave of technologies begins to take shape, our Detroit concept car heralds a new generation of Infiniti” said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president of global design for Nissan and Infiniti, who added that it embodies, “A seamless and stunning new design philosophy demonstrating Infiniti artistry in the new age of autonomous and breakthrough technology.”

Karim Habib, executive design director of the division said “The new Infiniti concept car will take the traditional sedan architecture to its next stage of evolution. A shift toward smarter, more compact and less intrusive powertrains; we were able to create an alternative form with flowing gestures, more engaging in character and more enriching in experience. With its long cabin, balanced proportions and muscular stance, the concept heralds a new era for Infiniti models.”
