Improved 2022 Acura RDX Gets Small Price Increase

Last month, Acura unveiled an updated version of its well-liked RDX crossover with sharpened looks and a long list of standard features. Though not a complete redesign from the 2021 model, the next RDX features toned new sheet metal and recalibrated driving modes to add sport to the sporty setting. The company also took many features that had been optional and made them standard.

We expected to see a substantial price increase to reflect the added content. Surprisingly, it isn’t coming. Acura has bumped up the base RDX’s sticker by just $900. The 2022 Acura RDX now starts at $39,300, plus destination charge.

Every 2022 RDX ships with a new active sound deadening system to quiet road noise. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard as well. New ambient lighting lets drivers choose from 27 different interior shades.

New standard safety tech includes automatic braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and upgraded side impact protection.

The full list of prices is below. Shoppers should be aware that the build and price tool on Acura’s website currently contains an error. Acura charges $2,200 to add its Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system to any RDX. The tool currently lists the price as a $2,000 option. When you get to the final screen in the build process, the price is listed correctly at $2,200. Acura is aware of the glitch and expects to have it fixed shortly.

All Acuras also require a $1,045 destination fee.
