Hyundai has recalled 83,877 Genesis vehicles across various model years due to a software issue that results in blank displays on both the cluster and the infotainment screen. Affected models are as follows:
- 2026 Genesis G80 Electrified
- 2025-2026 Genesis G80
- 2026 Genesis GV60
- 2025-2026 Genesis GV80
- 2026 Genesis GV70 Electrified
- 2026 Genesis GV70
The company reports to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that cluster and infotainment displays in affected vehicles “may intermittently reboot during vehicle operation, potentially resulting in a temporary blank display screen due to a software logic issue involving HD radio memory storage.”
A defective cluster display could hide important information from the driver, including things like the speedometer, fuel gauge, and other vital on-screen notifications.
Hyundai will remedy this issue by updating the software on all affected vehicles at no cost. The company recommends disabling the HD Radio feature until you can bring your vehicle to a Genesis dealer to resolve the issue.
Owners of any affected vehicles will be notified via mail by March 16, 2026.
While automakers do their best to notify every vehicle owner affected by a recall, they don’t always reach everyone.
