Here’s What You Get on a Fully Loaded Mazda CX-30

2022 Mazda CX-30 in redThe Mazda CX-30 is an affordable subcompact SUV in the lower trims. When you add the optional turbocharged engine and climb to the Premium Plus trim, it becomes an upscale SUV while remaining a good value.

The CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus is seriously competitive with some luxury SUVs this size —and it starts at $34,700. That might sound high for a small Mazda, but it’s still more affordable than the starting prices of the BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Volvo XC40.

Here’s why a fully-loaded Mazda CX-30 is worth the cost.

Turbo Engine

The exciting turbocharged engine in the top trim of the CX-30 gives it the performance of a hot hatchback. It’s a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium fuel. Even with regular 87 octane fuel, it makes 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. That’s more than enough for an exciting drive.

Like every trim of the CX-30, all-wheel drive (AWD) comes standard. The i-Activ AWD system improves all-season traction on snowy roads and on-road grip on dry pavement.

Premium Cabin

The Mazda CX-30 has one of the nicest interiors in its class. The Turbo Premium Plus trim is loaded with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a memory driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and much more.

As for interior space, there’s more than you might expect for an SUV this size. The rear seats have enough legroom to accommodate average-sized adults and there’s plenty of room for kids. The rear-seat passengers also get their own air conditioning vents, which not every SUV in this class has.

Advanced Tech Features

On top of the premium interior, the CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus offers many modern tech features. The infotainment system has an 8.8-inch screen. It accesses Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, HD Radio, and a Bose Centerpoint 2 audio system.

Other tech features in this SUV include an LCD meter display, a windshield-projected full-color Active Driving Display, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Immersive Audio System

The 12-speaker Bose Centerpoint 2 audio system with AudioPilot brings audio quality to the next level. On top of the 12 high-quality speakers, Centerpoint can take any audio track and turn it into surround sound for a more immersive experience. Meanwhile, AudioPilot noise compensation technology monitors road noise and adjusts the volume of the audio accordingly.

Safety Tech

The Mazda CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus comes loaded with the latest safety features. The standard safety tech suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, full-speed adaptive cruise control, driver attention alert, automatic high beams, and a backup camera.

On top of all of that, the top trim adds an adaptive front lighting system, reverse automatic braking, a 360-degree camera, Traffic Jam Assist, and front/rear parking sensors.
