The Kia Telluride is the top choice in its class. This midsize 3-row SUV offers ample space, affordability, and plenty of bells and whistles. It’s no wonder it’s racked up a number of our awards including 2021 Best Buy and Best 3-Row SUV.
If you’re looking to max out your Kia Telluride, you can step up to the SX trim at the top of the lineup and add all the available packages. The SX base starts at $42,490. - All-wheel drive: Add $1,200.
- Seating for seven with second-row Captain’s chairs: Included in SX trim.

Here’s a look at a few highlights that are included in this ample list:
All-Wheel Drive
Most people won’t consider an SUV without all-wheel drive, and in the Kia Telluride, it’s optional. When outfitted with the system, the Telluride gets two optional modes, Snow and AWD Lock for when you really need to engage the all-wheel-drive system. Pair AWD with the towing package and you can tow up to 5,000 pounds with the Telluride.
Driver Talk
While this feature became standard for 2022, for the 2021 model year it’s built into the options. It does come standard as part of the EX trim and above. Driver Talk is nice to have when you need to communicate with the back rows without yelling. It feeds the driver’s voice to the rear speakers so those in the back can hear you. There’s also a Quiet Mode that allows you to shut off the speakers at the vehicle’s back while keeping your chosen audio source at a low volume up front.
Drive Wise – ADAS
Drive Wise is what Kia calls its suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). This includes most of the bells and whistles you could want in a fully-loaded SUV. When you step up to the SX trim, you get the blind-spot monitors and highway driving assist, which reads highway speed signs and adjusts your cruise control accordingly. Also part of the package is a park distance warning and a surround-view monitor.
These features are in addition to standards like smart cruise control with stop and go, and forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection. The SX Prestige Package adds a head-up display, which you can only get on the SX trim.
