Ford has issued a recall for 9,181 F-150 pickups from model year 2025 because of a connection problem that could compromise their steering.
Ford tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a fastener inside the steering shaft “may not have been torqued to the required specification.” If it were to come loose, “separation of steering system components may occur, resulting in loss of steering control.”
Ford says it knows of no accidents or injuries related to the problem.
Dealers will inspect the steering shafts and replace any loose or missing fasteners to fix the problem.
