Ford Recalls Ranger, Bronco Over Fuel Leak

The 2024 Ford Ranger in gray seen from a front quarter angle

Ford recalled just nine Ranger pickups and Bronco SUVs from model year 2024 because they can develop a fuel leak, creating a fire risk.

Ford tells federal safety regulators that a high-pressure fuel pump may not be properly attached. It can move more than it was designed to, stressing fuel lines and potentially causing a fuel leak in the presence of hot engine components.

Owners might hear a rattling noise or see check engine or low fuel pressure warnings as the problem develops.

Dealers will re-mount the fuel pump with new bolts to fix the problem.

The company is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or fires related to the issue.
