Ford has recalled 276 Mustang Mach-E SUVs from the 2025 model year because they can roll when parked.
The company tells federal safety officials that a burr on the transmission parking rod can keep the rod from locking in place. The transmission will appear to be in park mode, but the vehicle may still be able to roll.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem, which was discovered during an inspection at the factory.
Dealers will replace the rod to fix the problem.
As with all recall repairs, the fix is free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has any outstanding recalls at our recall center.
