Ford Recalls Bronco SUVs Over Faulty Child Locks

2024 Ford Bronco Big Bend

Ford has recalled 2,002 4-door Bronco SUVs from model year 2024 because child safety locks on their left rear doors may not function.

Child safety locks prevent the inner door handle from opening the door, preventing curious toddlers from inadvertently opening the door of a moving car. On some Broncos, Ford says, a bracket holding the lock in place could be misaligned. That can keep the lock from performing its function.

Ford is aware of no accidents or injuries related to the problem.

Dealers will fix it by inspecting the child locks and replacing the entire rear door latch assembly if necessary.
