Ford and its Lincoln luxury brand have recalled 213,121 midsize SUVs because they may fail to activate the lights on a trailer they are towing.
Recalled models include some, but not all, examples of the:
- 2025 Ford Explorer
- 2025 Lincoln Aviator
The company tells federal safety regulators that a circuit board in the vehicles’ wiring may be improperly soldered.
Dealers will inspect the circuit board and replace it if necessary to fix the problem.
Ford has now issued a record 109 safety recalls this year – well above the old record of 77 — with nearly four months left to go in 2025.
