Ford Issues Recall for Inverted Infotainment Display

Ford Motor Company is recalling 889,950 vehicles for inverted images on the SYNC 3 center display. The following vehicles are affected:

In a report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Ford said, “the SYNC screen image on the center display flipped or inverted immediately after an ignition cycle.”

According to the recall report, a hardware conflict may cause the display, buttons, camera guidelines, and the rearview camera image to be flipped upside down. The situation can be temporarily resolved by turning the vehicle off and then back on again.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this recall.

A software remedy is under development and will be installed by Ford dealerships.

Owners will be notified beginning April 17, 2026.
