- Ford’s F-150 Lightning electric pickup gets a new STX trim level for 2026, with all-terrain tires and a relatively low starting price
Ford’s hard-won wisdom about truck buyers has paid off early in the days of electric pickups. The F-150 Lightning is America’s best-selling battery-powered pickup, just as the F-150 sits at the top of the gas truck market.
For 2026, Ford won’t change much about what’s working. But it will bring out a new trim level. The mid-level XLT trim is gone, replaced by an STX model with slightly more rugged intentions. The bare-bones F-150 Pro remains the entry-level model, primarily suited to fleet service. The STX will be the low end for most individual buyers who want a more comfortable day-to-day truck.
The XLT boasted 452 horsepower and 240 miles of range. The STX tops both with 536 hp and 290 miles.
Other changes include all-terrain tires, standard running boards, and a trim-specific grille with an electric blue accent line.
The STX logo appears on the bed and front fenders, and inside, in Grabber Blue on the headrests. That same blue appears on stitching for the standard cloth seats. “A black vinyl floor is also optional for those who tend to get dirty,” Ford says.
It will carry an MSRP of $63,345. Like every automaker, Ford also charges a mandatory delivery fee. The company hasn’t disclosed what that will be for the 2026 model year. On 2025 models, it’s $2,195. If it stays flat, that puts the STX at $65,540. The 2026 Ford Lightning STX is expected to reach dealerships early next year.
