Final Call: Cadillac CT4 Orders Are Reportedly Closing Soon

Last October, Cadillac’s Vice President John Roth announced that the CT4 would be discontinued by June of this year. This news is becoming a reality, as Cadillac will reportedly soon stop accepting orders for the CT4.

According to a report from GM Authority, the last opportunity to place orders for the entire CT4 lineup is the week of April 20, 2026, which is approaching quickly. This includes the enthusiasts’ beloved CT4-V Blackwing, the top-tier performance version in the lineup.

Starting just under $40,000, Cadillac positioned the CT4 as its entry point into the brand. The high-performance Blackwing version, albeit more expensive, is among the brand’s most respected enthusiast cars.

What’s the Blackwing Edition?

The CT4-V Blackwing features a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 472 horsepower and 446 lb-ft of torque. It’s a significant upgrade over the lower trim’s turbocharged 2.0-liter and 2.7-liter 4-cylinder options.

Pairing this with a 6-speed manual transmission is the real cherry on top. As manual transmissions become increasingly rare, having this option with the punchy V6 engine only adds to the appeal.

The Blackwing name, however, will live on in the CT5, the CT4’s larger sibling. Cadillac has already confirmed that the midsize CT5 will undergo a redesign for its next generation and will remain a gas-powered sedan. Once the CT4 is gone, the CT5 will be Cadillac’s last remaining conventional sedan (no, we wouldn’t categorize the $400,000 Celestiq as “conventional”).

April 20th is coming soon, so act quickly if a CT4 has been on your radar. Once orders for the lineup close, CT4 models will only be available at dealerships. Once that happens, there’s no guarantee what kind of stock they will have.
