Fiat has recalled 2,195 500e electric vehicles (EVs) from model years 2024-2025 because their headlights may be inaccurately aimed.
Fiat tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that factory workers may have accidentally installed a part that allows horizontal headlamp adjustment – something banned in cars sold in the U.S.
Dealers will fix the problem by installing a block that keeps the headlights from moving horizontally.
By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
Manufacturers recall many cars, often more than once, during their lifespan. Automakers try to contact every owner but don’t always reach them all. Discover if your vehicle has any outstanding recalls with the easy-to-use vehicle identification number (VIN) tool at our recall center.
