"The success of the Pentastar V6 engine family continues to be a testament to our powertrain engineering prowess," said Bob Lee, Vice President – Engine, Powertrain and Electrified Propulsion, and Systems Engineering, FCA – North America. He notes that in addition to delivering world-class performance and fuel-efficiency in everything from the midsize Chrysler 200 sedan to the full-size Ram ProMaster commercial van, the engine’s design allows it to be easily adapted to longitudinal/ transverse orientations and front-wheel/rear-wheel/all-wheel/four-wheel-drive systems as well as being backed by a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-/8-/9-speed automatics.
